About Val

Val is an Asian American illustrator and designer currently based in Milwaukee, WI. They graduated from Reed College in Portland, OR with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. They then went on to study Graphic Design at Rhode Island School of Design.

Previously, they taught as a house leader for Open Animation, leading weekly background paint and speedpainting workshops. They currently take on freelance work from various independent clients.
